2009-2010 PPRA Committee Overview

Awards Committee
Chair: Danielle Cohn
The Awards Committee is responsible for managing the Fast Track and Brodey Award nominations and making recommendations regarding the creation of an annual award for campaigns and/or communication pieces.
 
College Relations Committee
Chair: Silvana Pop
The College Relations Committee serves as the link between PPRA and local college students. The committee is also responsible for planning the Careers 101 event.

Educational Program Committee
Chair: Darren Behuniak
The Educational Program Committee is responsible for coordinating speakers and logistics for all PPRA educational programs.

E-Newsletter Committee
Chair: TBD
The E-Newsletter Committee is responsible for writing and collecting articles for the monthly members-only PPRA e-newsletter, "PResence"

Gold Medal Committee
Chairs: Mark Tarasiewicz & Lisette Bralow
The Gold Medal Committee is responsible for the planning the annual Gold Medal Luncheon, which honors an individual or group of individuals that have shone a favorable light on the city of Philadelphia.

Hall of Fame Committee
Chairs: Dan Cirucci & Nessa Forman
The Hall of Fame Committee is responsible for the planning of the annual Hall of Fame Luncheon, which honors the new Hall of Fame inductee, a trailblazing member of PPRA.

Membership Retention & Recruitment Committee
Chairs: Michael Cavacini & Lauren Zenel
The Membership Retention & Recruitment Committee is responsible for developing programs to help attract new members, plus retain current PPRA members.

Public Affairs Committee

The Public Affairs Committee examines those issues that affect the practice of public relations with the dual purpose of advocating for our profession and serving as the unified voice on behalf of PPRA.

Publicity Committee
Chair: Megan Smith
The Publicity Committee is responsible for handling all aspects of public relations for PPRA, including our annual Hall of Fame and Gold Medal events.

Social Programs Committee
Chair: Scott Barnes
The Social Programs Committee is responsible for developing social events for PPRA.

Sponsorship Committee

The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for soliciting sponsors for PPRA educational and social meetings, Gold Medal, Hall of Fame and Annual Meeting.

Strategic Alliances Committee
Chair:  Bonnie Grant
The Strategic Alliances Committee is responsible for identifying, creating and maintaining relationships with other organizations.

Website/Social Media Committee
Chair: Eric Cortes
The Website Committee is responsible for developing new ideas and content for the PPRA website and managing PPRA social media communications, like our Twitter and Facebook pages.
