Since 1996 I have operated Communications Support, a service designed to assist communications and business professionals with writing, editing, proofreading, research and project management needs. In that role I have worked with dozens of nonprofit organizations, communications agencies, corporations and media outlets to help them reach their primary goal of successfully communicating with their respective publics.
I have more than 20 years of experience in the communications field and have served as an adjunct professor at Arcadia University and at Temple University. For the past 16 years I have been an active member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association, where I have served as association manager, vice president and the chair or member of various committees.
Throughout my career I have been involved with many professional and community volunteer activities, including speaking at seminars, judging a college press tournament, editing a book on graduate school resources as an advisory council member, and offering volunteer assistance to schools, religious organizations and social action projects.
My goals are to elevate the communications profession through collaboration with colleagues and to help clients succeed by providing high-quality services.
My areas of expertise including writing, editing and proofreading for news releases, brochures, websites, newsletters, annual reports, direct mail, press kits, postcards, biographies, course catalogs, special events, fliers, story pitches, corporate histories, alumni magazines, fact sheets, calendar listings, fundraising collateral, feature articles, PSAs and media alerts.
