Across the industry, professionals are finding new and inventive ways to connect with each other – and that includes college students.

For the first time, PPRA will host an Instagram Live chat geared specifically to helping students take their next professional step. Join us on our official Instagram channel, @PPRA_proud, as we host young professional Layne Litsinger to discuss her PR journey: from her undergrad career as a star field hockey player, to graduate school at Drexel, to becoming an assistant account executive at Brian Communications.

Layne will give tips to rising professionals about how to land internships, build a network and make the transition to your first job. Join us on Instagram to ask questions in real-time and hear more about Layne’s journey!

Layne Litsinger (Twitter: @indafastLAYNE) is an Assistant Account Executive at Brian Communications, a full-service strategic communications agency in Philadelphia. She works on accounts in a variety of industries: health care, education, property restoration and entertainment. Layne also handles the day-to-day operations of Brian Communications’ social media accounts and college outreach program.

Layne’s past experiences include internships at Brian Communications, and imre, a digital marketing agency based out of Baltimore with offices in Philadelphia, Los Angeles and New York City. Prior to this, she worked as a beat reporter in the Maryland State House in 2018 covering state legislation and representatives.

Layne earned her master’s in communications from Drexel University in 2019. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in multi-platform journalism with a minor in French studies from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2018.
