The New Language of COVID-19: Messaging and Marketing During a Pandemic

  • Thursday, November 19, 2020
  • 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Zoom Webinar

Registration

In March, many businesses closed their doors, employees moved to work-from-home, the economy shook, travel halted, and worry about the unknown overshadowed many normal activities. From restaurants to supermarkets, transportation and hospitality, arts and culture, utilities and government - every field changed overnight. And so did the way companies and nonprofits needed to communicate with clients, customers, and the community.

We will share stories and best practices for:

  • Understanding and identifying the medical and safety terms and processes, where to find them, and how they impact your business and work
  • Moving events online
  • Sharing health and safety protocol within regular communication tools (social, web, email, print)
  • Thinking creatively to sell and share goods and services
  • Communicating ever-changing information quickly, accurately, and effectively
  • And helping your leaders or clients share messages of support and community

Panelists:

  • Alain Joinville, Public Relations Manager, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation
  • Ashley Berke, Vice President of Communications, Philadelphia Orchestra
  • Sarah DeLaurentis, Director of Communications and Marketing, Action Wellness
  • Greg Smore, Senior Manager, Communications, PECO

Moderator:

  • Bonnie Grant, Executive Director, PHL Life Sciences, Past PPRA President and Hall of Fame Member

Please pay your registration fee in advance of the program in order to gain access to the conversation. Prior to the program, all paid registrants will receive email instructions on how to access the webinar

Registration will close at 3:00 p.m. on November 19th

If you are unable to attend, a follow up recording will be provided.
