The event will highlight milestones in the organization’s history and look ahead to an even more promising future.

Special guest Mayor Jim Kenney, 99th mayor of Philadelphia, will welcome guests and discuss how public relations practitioners help city communications.

The Annual Meeting will also feature a salute to outgoing President Nina Scimenes, the induction of the 2019-2020 Board of Governors, and the winners of the 2019 Fast Track and Dr. Jean Brodey Achievement awards. Deirdre Hopkins, director of public relations at VISIT PHILADELPHIA®, will be installed as president.

“For the last 75 years, PPRA has been the premier organization for PR professionals across the Delaware Valley, and what better way to honor such an accomplishment than with a party fit for 75,” said PPRA President-elect Deirdre Hopkins. “We’re excited to celebrate our history, introduce a new administration, and welcome Keynote Speaker Rosemary Connors.”
