The Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA), the premier organization for communications professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area, has named London Faust as president for the 2020-2021 program year. The organization also announced the incoming members of the Board of Governors and the appointment of a new management company.
“What makes this region so amazing are the incredible stories to be found. The PR community in Philadelphia is made up of some of the best storytellers around, and I can’t wait to lead such an amazingly talented group through another exciting program year,” said incoming President London Faust. “My goals for the year include streamlining our internal processes, expanding the topics covered by our programming, furthering our diversity and inclusion practices, renewing a focus on mentorship, and fostering a more collaborative relationship between the PPRA board and its membership.”
Newly-inducted members of the PPRA Board include:
London Faust assumes the role of PPRA President. London is digital media manager at Bellevue Communications Group. Faust is a graduate of Temple University.
Michelle Sonsino has been inducted as President-Elect. Sonsino is director of communications and marketing for Germantown Friends School. She is a graduate of Boston College and the University of Pennsylvania.
Dan McCunney will serve as Vice President for Communications. McCunney is associate director, news & media relations at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a graduate of Temple University.
Hope Horwitz has been elected Vice President for External Affairs. Horwitz is vice president/partner at Feldscher Horwitz Public Relations and is a graduate of the University of Delaware.
Kellsey Turner has been named Vice President for Membership. Turner is an account manager at Vault Communications and is a graduate of LaSalle University.
Jen Micklow will assume the role of Vice President for Programs. Micklow is account director at Brownstein Group and a graduate of Rowan University.
Lauren Woodard will serve as Treasurer. Woodard is public relations manager for the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and a graduate of Penn State University.
Ryan Wall has been named Secretary. Wall is an account executive at Brian Communications and a graduate of LaSalle University.

In addition to the board appointments, PPRA also named Civic Capital Consulting as the group’s new management firm. Civic Capital is a Philadelphia-based firm that works to create strategic philanthropic partnerships between organizations and the communities they serve to generate a collective impact.
